FAQ

Good to Know

Is it scary for young kids?

It's spooky, playful fun built for the whole family, with free candy for kids 12 and under.

Where do we park?

Street parking is available along N. Chicago Ave between Smith St. and Seneca St. You're also welcome to drive past and enjoy the display from your car.

Is there a cost to visit?

No, House of Freak Andy is free to visit and enjoy. Donations are always appreciated and go straight back into building next year's haunt.

Can we walk through, or just look from the street?

Both. The yard display can be enjoyed from the sidewalk or from your car during the days it's up. The walk-through opens on Halloween night from 7–10pm.

What should we expect inside?

Live actors, fog machines, flashing and strobing lights, and loud sound effects. If anyone in your group is sensitive to those, the sidewalk view is a gentler way to enjoy it.

Can we take photos?

Please do. Tag us on Facebook or Instagram, we love seeing what you capture.

Are restrooms available?

No, there is no restroom on site. Plan accordingly, especially with little ones.

What happens if it rains?

The outdoor display usually stays up in light rain. Heavy rain or high winds may mean we shut off fog, animatronics, or electrical effects, or close the walk-through for safety. Any changes get posted to our Facebook page.

STOCK FROM THE CEMETERY

Every haunt outgrows its own props. Animatronics, skeletons, costumes, masks, accessories, and vintage Halloween decor rotate out of the collection and go looking for a new home. Stock changes constantly and most of it is one-deep. If you see it, it's the only one.
